Keeping your bookie from closing or limiting your account

How To Stop Bookies Shutting You DownA problem that serious sports bettors may run into sooner or later, even if you aren't doing arbitrage betting, is that the bookmaker you are using will shut you down. Michael Wilding from raceadvisor.co.uk recently delved into this topic and what to do about it summarizing it rather neatly:

The bookmakers business is based around losing punters and if you start winning then you taking your winnings from their profits. If they allowed every winning punter to place bets with them then they would simply go bankrupt.

Like many other I commented that this is absolutely unfair, possibly not a legit way of doing business at all. As much as I'd like to wish that this wasn't going on the need for a campaign for bookie fairplay is speaking another language.

Be that as it may you still may want to follow Michael's advice and use several different bookmakers. If nothing else you get the added benefit of selecting the one with the best odds.
